Pakistan Climate Sentinel

Pakistan Climate Sentinel (PCS) is a map-first climate intelligence platform for Pakistan. It delivers satellite-backed flood risk mapping, urban heat island analysis, vegetation indices, and multi-year deforestation monitoring in one browser workspace at pakistanclimatesentinel.com.

Services

PCS helps planners, researchers, and local teams move from an area of interest to clear, evidence-based climate layers. Choose a Pakistan district or draw a custom region, pick an analysis, and review map overlays with quality badges and plain-English summaries.

Methodology

The platform follows a repeatable pipeline: define an AOI inside Pakistan, retrieve Google Earth Engine imagery or features for the chosen dates or years, run flood or deforestation models or compute heat and vegetation indices, then review Status, Quality, Risk, and Alerts-style context on the map. Outputs support research and planning and are not official NDMA or PDMA warnings.

Team

Pakistan Climate Sentinel is led by Muhammad Hashir Suleman, with developers and collaborators Muhammad Bilal Mirza and Ahsan Rafique contributing across development, climate analysis, and AI / ML work.
